Shauna was first introduced to oil painting in 2017 at the London Fine Art studios. She has since received exceptional technical teaching from award-winning artist Martin Kinnear (RCA 24/25) completing a Diploma in oil painting in April 2025. Nicholas Wilton of Art2life helped her to unlock subconscious art with his Bloom Practice in February 2025.

She worked as a doctor for 32 years leaving in 2023 when her vocation as a family doctor in the NHS had been compromised by successive governments preventing her passion and skills from being available to her patients.

Initially drawn to the healing power of nature, producing expressive land and seascapes, she is now exploring subconscious art. Currently these are small works of 10cm x 15cm representing her emotional sensibility and broad range of life experiences.

Of Irish Scottish descent, she was born in Nigeria and has lived and worked in England, Kenya and the Outer Hebrides. She currently works and lives between Newark-on-Trent and Berwick-upon-Tweed.
