I am a mixed media artist. Art makes me feel alive. It calms the running commentary in my mind and I love the magic.

I have no visual memory (aphantasia), no recollected conscious imagery. I can see the present in real time; I have visual dreams, but have nothing in between. This has influenced what I used to paint ,my representative response to nature, and what I now paint which I call my subconscious art.

I trained in oil painting but recently started using acrylics for some pieces. I want to find the truth in my subject and make art that excites me. I start with a serendipitous foundation and let the painting reveal itself to me.

I would like the viewer to find my work engaging with visual interest. I hope it will invoke a feeling or a memory.

I have a body of new small works (10cm x 15cm) which are available to see and buy, in my open studios on 24th/25th May 2025, together with my landscapes. In time, I plan to move back into oils for the rich colour, exciting optics, and expressive mark-making that oil supports.
